TANFINET Franchisee Application Guidelines

Tamil Nadu FibreNet Corporation (TANFINET), an SPV formed for implementing BharatNet, aims to connect 12,525 Village Panchayats across Tamil Nadu through an Optical Fibre Cable network. This initiative intends to provide Last Mile Connectivity (LMC) for broadband and internet services through franchisee partners.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants or companies residing in a District can apply to provide services in Blocks/GPs within the same District. Please submit photocopies of the following documents;

  •  PAN Card: Provide the PAN card number and a photocopy of the PAN card.
  •  For Firms/Companies:
    •  GST Number: Submit a photocopy of the GST Registration certificate.
    •  Company Registration: Provide a photocopy of the Company Registration certificate.
  •  ID Proof: Submit a photocopy of Voter ID, passport or driving license.
  •  For Firms/Companies: Include a photocopy of the Company Registration certificate.
  •  Address Proof: Submit a photocopy of an electricity bill, rental agreement or telephone bill.
  •  For Firms/Companies: Include a photocopy of the GST Registration certificate.

Enrolment Fee

Include an application fee of INR 5000 for each Block/GP applied. You can use the same application to apply for multiple Blocks/GPs. Payment should be made via Online in favor of M/s Tamil Nadu FibreNet Corporation Limited. 

Enrolment Process

1. Online Enrolment:
  •  Enrol through the TANFINET portal and download the generated form.
  •  Affix a passport-sized photograph, sign the form and compile all required documents.
2. Mailing Address:
  •  Send the acknowledgment to TANFINET within 7 working days in person or through post.
  •  Tamil Nadu FibreNet Corporation Limited, No.807, 5th Floor, P.T. Lee Chengalvaraya Naicker Maaligai, Anna Salai, Chennai-600 002.

Checklist for Enrolment Package

Ensure your enrolment package includes:

  •  Acknowledgment Copy.
  •  Photocopies of PAN card, ID proof, and address proof.
  •  For firms/companies, include GST Registration certificate and Company Registration certificate.

Criteria for Shortlisting Franchisee

  •  Applicants must belong to the same District as the GPs they are applying for.
  •  Preference given to TACTV LCO's.
  •  GP allocation is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Important Reminders

  •  Ensure all documents are legible, valid, and in compliance with the requirements.
  •  Incomplete applications will not be processed.
  •  Retain a copy of the acknowledgment for your records.
  •  Applicant Onboarding process will be commence upon the Allotment Process completed by TANFINET.
  •  The selected Franchisees can provide services within the administrative boundary area of the Gram Panchayat.
